What is it about?
As a part of TCU’s comprehensive prevention program for students, all incoming first-year students are required to complete an online alcohol education course called AlcoholEdu.
Part 1 of AlcoholEdu takes approximately 1½ hours to complete. Students must pass the exam in Part 1 of AlcoholEdu with an 80% or higher to get credit for the course. The deadline for finishing Part 1 is Sunday, August 21, 2016 by midnight.
Once the fall semester begins, and approximately five weeks after completion of Part 1, students will receive an email asking them to complete Part 2 of AlcoholEdu. The deadline to complete Part 2 is Friday, October 14, 2016 by midnight.
Incoming first-year students who fail to complete the AlcoholEdu program by the deadline with have a hold placed on their student account which will prevent them from adding, dropping, or registering for cases.
How do I register?
Step 1: Go to www.everfi.com/login and click “Register”.
Step 2: Locate the registration code included in the email about AlcoholEdu that was sent to you in July.
Lost your registration code? Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 3: Enter the registration code in the Registration Code field.
Step 4: Enter in your first name, last name, and TCU email address. Create a password and then confirm it by typing it in again. Enter your TCU student ID number, and select your age range. Once finished, click the box next to “I agree to the terms of service” and Click “Next”.
Step 5: Click “Get Started”.
If you are unable to complete AlcoholEdu in one sitting, you will be able to use the same link above to re-enter the program. Simply sign-in using your TCU email and the password you created, rather than going through the registration process again. If you run into problems taking or re-entering the program, do not start over. Contact AlcoholEdu technical support through the HELP link which is located in a drop down menu under your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen, and they will assist you.
